COVID-19

What are your covid policies?


- We require a mask upon entering and exiting class and if you are unable to distance yourself from a dancer during class. - Mask is required while in lobby and public areas. - Temperatures must be taken before entering - If you are feeling any symptoms of COVID-19, please be safe and stay home.




How are you keeping us safe during covid?


Here a a few things we are doing to keep people safe: 1. We are requiring masks when entering and exiting the facility 2. Our lobby is closed so we ask that parents wait in their cars if they have a child attending 3. We have X's marked out 6 ft from each other to keep social distancing 4. We ask that everyone have their mask able to pull up when not dancing to keep everyone safe 5. We are taking temperatures at the beginning of each class





CLASS

I messed up in my group video during class, can I do another one?


Absolutely! You can do an additional solo or a group video at the end of class for $10.




Do I have to be filmed at the end of class?


No, however we will always encourage you to do a video but if it’s your first time and you’re nervous or you just don’t feel comfortable, you do not have to be filmed.




If I don’t want to be filmed, do I have to leave class?


No, absolutely not! We encourage you to stay and watch all groups filmed. We will dance the combo one more time together as a class at the end of filming all groups.




Can I sit in on a class before deciding to buy a class?


To respect the privacy of those taking class, we do not allow non participants to watch from inside the classroom. We have a large window that looks into our classroom located in our lobby that is available for viewing purposes.




As a parent, can I watch my child from inside the classroom?

How long is your beginner class?


Our Beginner Hip Hop class is 60 minutes




How long is your advanced class?


Our Advanced Hip Hop class is 90 minutes




How do I know which class is for me?


If you have little to no dance experience, we always encourage you to try out our beginner hip hop on Thursdays first. If the class is too easy for you, come to our Wednesday night Advanced Hip Hop class. If you are a more experience dancer, our Advanced Hip Hop might be the perfect fit for you!




Does AREA 54 host events such as birthday parties, bachelorette parties, adult classes, etc?


Yes, we do! Please send us an email regarding what type of event you would like to book and we will reply with all the information needed to get your event planned and on the books! Email us at: area54live@gmail.com

How do I download videos from class?


You will receive an email with the link and password to download your videos. Our download links are also available on our website under ‘Videos’ tab in our menu within 2 business days.




Where do I get the password for the videos?


Your password will be sent to you via email. If you do not receive the password, check your spam folder. If you still cannot find our email, send us an email at: area54live@gmail.com and we will send it to you directly.




My password isn’t working, what’s wrong?


Make sure that you are using ALL caps. Still not working? Try again on a desktop.

What clothes should I wear to class?


We suggest clothing that is comfortable, loose fitting, and doesn’t hinder your ability to dance. Footwear: Tennis shoes & sneakers are best for hip hop!




How do I know what song we will be dancing to?


Make sure to check your email weekly for your AREA 54 Newsletter for all information on updates, songs for the week, updated music playlists, and so much more! Aren't getting our emails? Send us an email at: area54live@gmail.com requesting to be put on our mailing list and we will add you to our subscribers. We don't want you to miss out on any important information!




Is there a limit on how many people can attend per class?


As of now, we are limiting our capacity to 50 people per class. In order to keep everyone safe, we have placed X's on our studio floor 6 ft apart to maintain social distancing.




Is there an age requirement for class?


Our classes are open to anyone 6 and up.





PRICING / MEMBERSHIPS

How much is one single class?


You can purchase a single class for $25 either online or at the front desk.




Do you offer refunds for single classes?


We do not offer refunds for single classes.




Do you offer refunds for memberships?


We do not offer refunds for memberships.




I am on the BASIC plan, do my classes roll over to the next month if I don’t use them?


No, our classes do not roll over. To access 8 classes each month, you can upgrade to our PRO plan at any time.




Do you do free trial classes?


We do not do free trial classes. Single classes are able for purchase for $25 either online or at the door.




Can I put my membership on hold?


Yes, you can put your membership on hold for free of charge for maximum of 2 months. Your membership will resume after 2 months.




Is there a dance teacher discount?


Yes, to ensure you are getting the dance teacher rate, please provide letter from your studio owner regarding your teaching status. Visit front desk for more information.




Where do I sign up?


Creating an account, enrolling in a class, and more can be found by clicking on our 'Memberships' tab.




Do I need to create an profile in order to attend class?


Yes. If you are attending class as a member or simply taking a single class, you will need to create a profile on our page in order to pay for class. Here's how to create a profile: Go to www.area54live.com Click on Memberships or Single Classes Click on the item you would like to purchase You should then be prompted to create a profile!




Do you accept Card? Cash? Venmo? Check?


We accept all major credit cards and cash. We do not accept payment through venmo, cash app, or checks.




Is there a discount if I have more than 1 membership per family?


We do not offer family discounts.




How long does the membership last?


Our memberships are month to month.




Do I have to renew my membership?


Your membership will automatically be renewed each month on the day of sign up. For example: John signs up for a membership plan on the 22nd of Feburary, his membership will be renewed and he will be billed on the 22nd of March.




What if I buy a single class but I need to cancel?


If you need to cancel after purchasing a single class, please log into your AREA 54 account and cancel your class. If you do not cancel you will be marked as a no show. However, if you cancel or no show, you will not be refunded but instead have a credit on your account to apply to a future class. Keep in mind, if you purchase an Advanced Single Class and decide you need to cancel, the credit will only be able to be applied to an Advanced Single Class. Similarly, if you purchase a Beginner Single Class and then cancel, you will only be allowed to apply that credit towards a Beginner Single Class.




What if I get injured and cannot use my membership?


In case of an emergency or injury, we can place your membership on hold for up to 2 months at no cost to you.




If I go into class but then decide I don't like it, can I get a refund?


Unfortunately, we do not offer refunds for single classes.




How do I purchase a membership?


By going on our website, you can click on our memberships tab which will bring you to both BASIC and PRO links. Both links will bring you to our membership site where you can then create an account. From there, scroll through our different membership plans and purchase the plan that is best for you.




How do I withdraw from my membership plan?


If for any reason you wish to withdraw from your membership, we would love to talk with you. Give us a call at (615) 772-4447 or email area54live@gmail.com. If you are sure you’d like to withdraw, please complete the withdrawal form. Withdrawal Policy:

  • Members can withdraw at any time prior to their next billing due date. However, once monthly payment has been processed, there are no refunds. Members will still have full access to classes for the remainder of that billing cycle.
  • Once the member Withdrawal Form has been submitted, members will still be allowed to attend any remaining classes that have been paid in full, with all future classes (following the end of the current billing cycle) being removed from the schedule and all future billing stopped.

  • For example, any member with a billing date of the 1st can submit a Withdrawal Form at any time prior to the 1st of the next month to avoid future billing.
  • There are no refunds or credits for any classes a member chooses to not attend following the successful submission of the member withdrawal form.




Can I cancel my membership for free?


Members can withdraw at any time prior to their next billing due date. However, once monthly payment has been processed, there are no refunds. Members will still have full access to classes for the remainder of that billing cycle.




How do I create an AREA 54 profile?

What is your inclement weather policy?


AREA 54 does not follow any school system’s inclement weather policy. If inclement weather occurs, visit our website and social media sites, or check your email for updates on changes and/or cancellations. We are unable to offer make-up lessons, refunds, or account credits for any studio closures due to inclement weather.




I have a membership but I can't make it to one of my classes, can I give it to someone else?


Classes cannot be transfered to someone else.
